Since 2006, TexasBarBooks has coordinated with Texas Lawyers Care to provide copies of the Texas Family Law Practice Manual to the first ten attendees of the “Family Law Essentials” seminars (presented by the Pro Bono Committee of the Family Law Section and Lone Star Legal Aid) who agree to accept 4 pro bono cases. So far, we’ve donated 180 of these manuals, a $112,500 value. We give all other attendees a 50 percent discount on the manual. The next Family Law Essentials seminar is Friday, September 18, 2009, at the Boys and Girls Club of Highland Lakes in Marble Falls, Texas.
