Navigating the 83rd Regular Session’s Legislation

Bills PassedAs TexasBarBooks’s staff editors and author committees get to work on folding the legislative changes from the 83rd Regular Session into our publications, let us point out this useful database put together by the Texas Tribune.

Simply listed, sortable by category, and linked to every bill’s full text and actions, this tool can perhaps give you a head start on deciphering how your area of law practice might have been affected by state Congress.

At final count, and excluding any possible special session passages, 1436 bills were sent to the governor, while 26 received vetoes and 14 went unsigned but are still set to go into effect. We look forward to diving in to the material and providing the most updated and accurate content in our forthcoming books and manuals as we possibly can.
